At code2make, our ethos is to inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence through completing projects based on the children’s interests. More than just coding, we are about integrating technology and empowering kids to become makers.
code2make is set up and led by Kimmy Liu and Iain Morris, both with extensive industrial experience in technology, instrumentation and education. We love to code and we love to tinker.
Kimmy Liu
Kimmy is an engineer. She is a graduate from Sydney and NSW University and has had over 15 years of experience in strategy, business improvement and workplace training. She is a Forestville/ Killarney local from way back (a Forestville Primary School alumnus in fact), a keen traveler and a busy mum of 3 gorgeous kids. Since leaving the corporate life, she is rediscovering her creative flare and is loving the creative flex that code2make offers. Let’s face it, no matter your age, no one is beyond making fun awesome things! Kimmy holds a current NSW Working With Children Check and a current First Aid certificate which includes Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management.
Iain Morris
Iain is a tinkerer, a maker, a hobbyist. In fact, there’s not much that he can’t do. Iain has had a passion for computers, games and coding since the early days of the Commodore 64 and Micro-B Monochrome. Who can remember those?! Professionally, he has worked in a range of manufacturing environments including pharma, biotech, mining, food and beverage and petrochemical. A graduate from Macquarie University, Iain’s major fields of employment include process improvement, automated chemical dosing and instrumentation. Iain has trained major multinationals on instrumentation and process automation. He has a keen interest in robotics and all things automation. Iain holds a current NSW Working With Children Check.
